I love to write software and help people and think it’s great when I gets to do both at the same time. I previously worked at a non-profit focused on humanitarian relief and development, a Manhattan investment bank, and a startup working to transform the way professionals volunteer. I studied Computer Science at North Carolina State University and Stephen F. Austin State University. I was born in North Carolina, have been heavily influenced by time spent in Texas, and currently reside in Brooklyn, NY.
I aim to build great relationships with my clients and write software that solves your problems and helps you run your business better. Brooklyn Softworks provides a full-service website and application design and can work with you through the entire lifecycle of your project, from refining your concept and determining your business requirements through to implementation, deployment, support, and ongoing maintenance. I leverage a global network of developers, designers, sysadmins, marketing gurus, and other talented freelancers to deliver the software you need quickly and at competitive rates.
I’d love to talk with you about your business’s needs.

If you have a software shop, design firm, or interactive agency and need some help writing software, I’d love to hear from you.
I’m a full-stack programmer. My preferred platform is Python and Django, but I’m experienced in PHP as well and learning Ruby and Rails. I’m proficient in HTML, CSS, and Javascript/jQuery for front-end development. I’ve published iOS apps in Apple’s app store, and I’ve also worked extensively in Adobe Flex and Air and can wrangle Actionscript in Flash projects.
I’m comfortable deploying projects in a Linux environment, use source control religiously (Mercurial at the moment, but I’ve used Git and Subversion), and love to collaborate. I prefer to work remotely, but am available for meetings in the NYC area. If I can help with your projects, give me a call.
